Pharaohs coach Bob Bradley has agreed to excuse striker Mohamed Zidan from the team's training camp so he can enter negotiations with a Chinese club.
The national team are preparing for their match against the Central African Republic in the 2013 CAN qualifiers on 30 June.
"Zidan asked to leave the camp to hold talks with a Chinese team that wants to sign him as he is eager to go out of the Bundesliga," read a statement on the Egyptian Football Association website.
Egypt recalled Ahly striker Emad Meteb to replace Zidan at the camp.
The Pharaohs must win the second leg in Bangui by two goals to progress to the next round. If they lose, they will miss out on the finals for the second tournament in a row.
